Summer High Performance

The focus of San Diego Rowing Club’s High Performance Summer Rowing is to help elevate both collegiate and senior Women/Men to reaching new heights in their rowing careers, either on their current teams or as they transition from collegiate to U23/Senior rowing.

For the low cost of $1,250 total for 10 weeks (June 10 – August 16), athletes will receive five coached on-water practices per week, a training plan for 11 practices per week, full membership to SDRC for the summer, and access to SDRC’s boats, ergs, and weight room. The primary focus for the summer will be on improving athletes’ small boat skills and fitness.

The Summer High Performance Program will be led by Head Coach Tracy Falkenthal. Tracy is a USRowing Level 3 coach, who brings years of experience in the launch to SDRC, most recently working with the juniors and High Performance Group at Texas Rowing Center. Tracy is also an incredibly accomplished rower in addition to being a great coach, having won many prestigious races such as the Head of the Charles and FISA Masters World Championships.

Tracy will be assisted by Sam Stitt. Sam has been a high performance coach at both Potomac Boat Club and SDRC as well as having competed in the Men’s Quad in the 2008 Olympics and being named to the U.S. National Team as an athlete 14 years in a row.
